CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security · Saarbrücken, Germany

YET ANOTHER PHD CANDIDATE!

Hey there! 👋

I’m José Antonio Zamudio Amaya, though you can just call me Pepe. I’m a Ph.D. Candidate at CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security in Saarbrücken, researching systems security and fuzz testing under Prof. Andreas Zeller. I studied Software Engineering at the Universidad de Sevilla, Bachelor’s and Master’s, both with Honors Distinction, and did research stints at Universidad Pablo de Olavide before moving to Germany.

In 2024 I attended the Fuzzing and Software Security Summer School at NUS in Singapore and the TAROT Summer School in Bergamo. In late 2025 I spent three months as a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy in Bochum, working with Dr. Marcel Böhme, and yes, I did make it to the Yellow Wall. Welcome to my corner of the web!
